9/16/11

Lectio: Lk 8.4-15

“But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance.” Lk 8.15

“O God, You are so generous and good and You wish Your children to imitate You.

I remember Jesus told a parable about how Your word is received; and Jesus made it clear that those with a generous and good heart produce the fruit that You want.

Grant that I may always be kind and generous and persevere in Your ways.
I ask this of You who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

Operatio: Reflect on “rich soil” - open to God, generous and good, perseveres, produces what God wants; in prayer ask for the grace to be always open to God’s words as proclaimed in Scriptures and respond to it with a good and generous heart.

Tomorrow’s readings: Mt 20.1-16a
