” Meditatio: “must good be repaid with evil that they should dig a pit to take my life.
Jer 18.20a

Oratio: ""O God, how perverse we are at times when You only desire to help us.

I remember Your chosen people plotted the death of Your prophet, Jeremiah, whom You sent to help them.

Grant that I may recognize Your prophets in my midst and heed them.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Operatio : Reflect on "prophet;” one who speaks to us about God and the things about God that we should know;
the infallible teachings of the Pope and bishops in communion with him on matters of faith and morals; the baptized by their lives well lived;
in prayer thank God for His loving care for us and for the prophets He sends to us; and then for the grace to heed their message and respond to them.

Tomorrow's readings: Jer 17.5-10
