Lectio: 2 Kgs5.1-15,an

Meditatio: "He (Naaman) returned with his whole retinue to the man of God (Elisha). On his arrival he stood before him and said, ‘Now I know there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel’." 2Kgs 5.15a,b

Oratio: "O God, You know how hard it is for us to have faith in You-so You work miracles for us.

I remember Naaman, the Armenean general, was cured of leprosy through Your prophet, Elisha, and Naaman then believed in You as the only God.
Grant that I may always be grateful for the many miracles You have worked for us to bring us to faith and especially the resurrection of Your Son.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on ‘miracle.” Beyond the power of nature; countless ones down throughout the ages. Two of the on-going ones are: Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Eucharistic Miracle at Lanciano. In prayer thank God for being so kind to us and for making it so easy to believe.

Tomorrow’s reading: Dn 3.25, 34-43
