Lectio: Dt 4.1,5-9

Meditatio: "However, take care and be earnestly on your guard not to forget the things which your eyes have seen, nor let them slip from your memory as long as you live, but teach them to your children and to your children’s children.” Dt 4.9

Oratio: "O God, You know we are a forgetful people.

I remember Moses warned Your chosen people not to forget the ten commandments and all You did for them - but they would forget and give themselves over to worship false gods.
Grant that I with Your grace I may always conduct myself in accordance with Your commandments and rejoice in all the things You have and continue to do for us.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on ‘teach...children.” by actions, by words, by example; not just memorization; but incorporation of them at the core of our being; in prayer ask for the grace to guide those in my care in the best ways to teach their children about You and Your many miracles You have worked and continue to work on our behalf.

Tomorrow’s reading: Jer 7.23-28
