3.26.12

Lectio: Nm 21.4-9

Meditatio: “and the Lord said to Moses, ‘Make a seraph and mount it on a pole, and if anyone has been bitten looks at it, he will recover.” Nm 21.8

Oratio: "O God, You are our protector and strong support - both in physical and spiritual needs.

I remember You instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent and place it upon a pole and anyone who was bitten by a poisonous snake would be healed - how awesome!

Grant that I may ever grateful to Your Son for His willingness to be lifted up on the cross so that death would have no power over us and we might live forever with You - how generous! How stupendous!

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect: "bronze serpent”; a foreshadowing of the cross; the healing effects from sin which the cross brought about; in prayer thank God for being so kind and merciful and loving. .

Tomorrow's reading: Dn 3.14-20, 91-92,95
