3.25.12

Lectio: Is 7.10-14, 8.10

Meditatio: “Therefore, the Lord himself will give you this sign, the virgin will be with child and bear a son, and shall call him Immanuel.” Is 7.14

Oratio: "O God, You gave us an unmistakable sign of Your presence - a sign we could not miss, a sign foretold of old.

I remember Your prophet, Isaiah, eight hundreds years before the event, prophesied that a virgin would conceive and bear a son and would be called Immanuel, God is with us.

Grant that I may ever grateful to Mary for her cooperation with Your plans so that Your Son, Jesus, would be our brother forever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect: "sign”; a pointer; a clear clue; the Virgin Mary’s birth of Jesus; the Annunciation. In prayer thank God for the sign of His presence - His Son; and ask for the grace to imitate Mary and choose Your will in all things.
