3/01/12

Lectio: Ez 18.21-28
Meditatio: “Then, I, too, shall brush one hand against the other and wreak my fury. I, the Lord, have spoken.” Ez 18.22

Oratio: ""O God, we are responsible for our choices and they have consequences.
I remember Your prophet Ezekiel declared to chosen people that just as they did not take responsibility for their unfaithfulness to You, You will not take responsibility for the destruction of Jerusalem.

Grant that I may always realize I have a free will and with Your grace make right choices.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Operatio : Reflect on "responsible; “ effects that flow from choices; evil caused by my bad choices; rationalization as a way of excusing myself for my bad choices and not taking responsibility for my choices. In prayer ask for the grace to use my gift of free will in a manner which gives honor, praise and glory to God and good example to those whose lives I touch.

Tomorrow's readings: Dt 26.16-19
