Lectio: :Lk 9.28b-36

Meditatio: "who [Moses and Elijah] appeared in glory and spoke of his [Jesus’] exodus that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem." Lk 9.31

Oratio: "O God, You are ever concerned that we list4en to the Good News and abide by it.

I remember Your Son was transfigured on Mt. Tabor and Moses and Elijah appeared with Him - and discussed His exodus to Jerusalem - all in the presence of Jesus’ three disciples- and you told them to listen to Your Son - making it clear that His words, and not the words of the Old Law or the prophets, were now the way they should live.

Grant that I may be always live I accordance with the Good News announced by Your Son and preserved throughout the ages by the Church for it is meant to enable us to attain to the ultimate promised land - heaven - and to abide there forever with You.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "exodus"; movement from one place to another; a going out; the Israelites going out of Egypt to the promised land, the exodus from this life to heaven by Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection; our exodus from this life to Gold if we abide by the Good News; in prayer ask for the grace to do so knowing it calls us to be persons of selfless love and then be one..

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 6.36-38
