Lectio: Lk 11.29-32

Meditatio: "Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation." Lk 11.30

Oratio: "O God, You know our needs and especially our need for signs that which if far above us.

I remember Your Son preached to the crowd and told them that He would be the sign they were looking for just as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites.



Grant that I may also see in Christ that He is solid basis for my belief in the kingdom that is to come and that He is my strong support in getting to it.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "sign"; evidence, Jonah’s effective preaching; Jesus’ effective preaching and His resurrection; His presence in the Eucharist; in prayer thank God for sending Jesus to us so that we are enabled to find our way back to Him with strong assurances for our faith and His continued presence to us in the Eucharist..
