Lectio::Mk 5. 1-20

Meditatio: "As he [Jesus] was getting into the boat, the man who was possessed pleaded to remain with him." Mk 5.18

Oratio: "O God, You desire all to proclaim the Good News; but how? As You wish and not as we may desire,

I remember when a man who was possessed by a legion of devils was cured and wanted to follow Jesus, Jesus refused his request and instead told him to go home and spread the good news.

Grant that I may be ever open to the way in which You want me to spread the Good News and then to do so.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "discipleship"; a follower; formal followers are priests, deacons, religious; informal followers are all the remaining baptized; in prayer seek the grace to discern the "how " I am to spread the Good News and the grace to do so.
