Lectio: Lk 2.22-40

Meditatio: "And coming forward at that time, she [Anna, daughter of Phanuel] gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem." Lk 2.38

Oratio: "O God, You sent Your Son not only to redeem the world but to restore to woman the dignity that You gave them from the beginning.

I remember when Your Son was presented in the Temple as a child to fulfill the Jewish laws of redemption, it was woman ,by the name of Anna, n who became the first evangelizer of the Good News and she proudly proclaimed that He was the One whom all were waiting for she was inspired by the Holy Spirit to recognize Him and then to proclaim Him, the Messiah! What a privilege!

Grant that I may be always open to the dignity and the worth of all God’s creature and readily accept their roles and their efforts to spread Your kingdom for It is for all and all are called to proclaim it..

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "evangelize"; to speak about the Good News to others; to work to achieve Its acceptance by others; to proclaim the Good News by the lives we live; in prayer ask for the grace to be open to God’s ways of bringing the Good News to all people and rejoice in the efforts that are on-going.
