Lectio Mt 18.21-35

Meditatio: "Jesus answered [Peter], ‘I say to you, not seven times but seventy- seven times’."

Mt 18.22

Oratio: "O God, You are all merciful and You want us as Your children to emulate You.

I remember Jesus told Peter that when asked about forgiveness; that he should extend it seventy-seven times for that is Your way.

Grant that I may let always grateful for Your mercy and with Your grace to willingly extend it to the others as often as they need it.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on "seventy-seven"; a biblical number meaning limitless; it is the extent to which we are called as God’s children to forgive others; in prayer ask for the grace to have a forgiving heart , one that if open to forgiving others as God forgives us and God will be pleased.

Tomorrow's reading: Mt 5.1`7-19
