Lectio Jn 5.17-30

Meditatio: "Amen, amen, I say to you, who ever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not come to condemnation, but has passed from death to life."

Jn 5.24

Oratio: "O God, You have made us for Yourself for our own good!

I remember Jesus pronounced that we have been given eternal life because we believe in You - what an affirmation of our great destiny! .

Grant that I may readily believe in Jesus so that m may readily believe in You and be with You forever.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on "believe"; faith in what is not seen and which is not demonstrable; a confident hope that it is so; in prayer thank God for the gift fo faith and for His Son’s promise that faith in Him will enable us to pass from death to eternal life.
