Lectio Mk 12.28-34

Meditatio: "and to love him [God] with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." Mkt 12. 33

Oratio: "O God, You made us in Your own image and we best live that image by being a person of selfless love.

I remember Jesus told the scribe that he was indeed correct when he said that to love you with his whole being was indeed the greatest commandment.

Grant that I may love You with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my strength and my neighbor as myself.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on "love"; seeks the good of the other for the other’s sake; an act of the will; perfect love is when your whole being is involved in the act of seeking the good for the other; in prayer seek the grace to love always and especially those whom God loves so that God may indeed be praised.

Tomorrow's reading: :Lk 18.9-14
