Lectio Jn 7.1-2, 10, 25-30
Meditatio: ""And look, he [ Jesus] is speaking openly and they say nothing to him. Could the authorities have realized that he is the Messiah?" Jn 7.26
Oratio: "O God, You make Yourself and Your will known to us. - but alas! At times we are so dense or obstinate.
I remember the people recognized Jesus was the Messiah by what He did and what He said, but the religious elite were blind and deaf to His presence.
Grant that I may be attentive to Your words and Your ways as found in Scripture and as proclaimed in our Church for they have been given to us for our salvation.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the
Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on "Messiah"; the Anointed One; the Christ; Jesus; in prayer thank God for sending His Son to us and for our ancestors in faith who recognized Jesus for who He is; and for the grace to follow His ways. May we always listen to those You have given us to lead us and to our new Pope, Francis I,
