Lectio Lk 15.1-3,11-32

Meditatio: "But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found." Lk 15.32

Oratio: "O God, You are so compassionate and merciful even though we do not deserve it.

I remember Your Son told the parable of the lost son - lost in sin - and told of his father receiving the son back and fully restoring him as his son - how gracious! How merciful!

Grant that I may readily forgive others as the prodigal’s father did for this is Your way and it must be our way as Your child.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on "rejoice"; filled with joy; bursting with joy; the prodigal’s father joy on having his lost son back again; in prayer seek the grace to promptly go to the sacrament of reconciliation when I have committed a major sin for God so much wants my restoration and my being His child again.

Tomorrow's reading: :Jn 4.43-54
