Lectio Lk 19.28-40
Meditatio: ""Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him [Jesus], ‘Teacher, rebuke your disciples’." Lk 19.39
Oratio: "O God, how the religious elite often missed Your revelations, but the ordinary people, the anawin, readily recognized it.
I remember the people honored You that first Palm Sunday as you rode on a colt; while the Pharisees told You to rebuke Your disciples for their proclaiming You King and source of peace - how blind of them for they also saw the miracles You worked!..
Grant that I may be always open as a child to You and recognize that You are present in the poor, the oppressed, those rejected by life for You have told us this is so.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the
Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on "rebuke"; reprimand, condemn, command to stop; in prayer ask for the grace to be open to Your ways so that I may not miss You and that I may not fail to respond to You.
Tomorrow's reading: :Jn 12.1-11
