Lectio Jn 5.31-47
Meditatio: "" the works the Father has given me to accomplish, these works testify on my behalf." Jn 5.36b
Oratio: "O God, You so much wanted Your Son to believed that You allowed Him to exercise and perform signs and wonders that only You can do!
I remember that He did marvelous deeds and yet the religious elite did not accept Him - how tragic and how sad!
Grant that I may be opened to the many ways in which Your Son speaks to me and to be ever grateful that You care so much for me.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the
Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on "believe"; faith in what is not seen and which is not demonstrable; a confident hope that it is so; in prayer thank God for the gift fo faith and for His Son’s promise that faith in Him will enable us to pass from death to eternal life
Tomorrow's reading: :Jn 7.1-2, 10, 25-30
