Lectio - Lk 1.39-56

Meditatio: “Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” Lk 1.45

Oratio: "O God, how benevolent You are!

I remember Elizabeth declared Mary blessed because she believed You would do what You said if she said, ‘Yes.’ In that declarative statement You gave us Mary as a role model of trust and blessedness.

Grant that I may discern Your will with the help of the Holy Spirit and simply say, ‘Yes’ to it.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today and each day I will resolve to discern Your will with the Spirit’s help and then do it.

Tomorrow’s selection is from Mk 12.13-19
