Lectio -Mt 9.1-8

Meditatio: “ ‘But that you may know that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins,’ he then said to the paralytic, ‘Rise, pick up your stretcher and go home’.”
Mt 9.6

Oratio: "O God, You made it clear You Son has Your authority by the miracles He worked.

I remember Jesus showed He had the authority to forgive sins by commanding the paralytic to rise and walk and he did - How awesome!

Grant that I may be filled with awe at the miracle that is performed every day on the altar - transubstantiation - and give You praise for Jesus and the authority He gave human beings.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on the power of the priesthood and rejoice in the gift that it is meant for others.

Tomorrow’s selection is from Mt 9.9-13
