11.21.12

Lectio: Sir 50.22-24
Meditatio: "And, now, bless the Lord of all, who has done wondrous things, on earth. Who fosters men’s growth for their mother’s womb, and fashions them according to his will." Sir 50.22

Oratio: "O God, You have bestowed upon us wonderfully and wondrously.

I remember Your prophet, Sirach, proclaimed Your blessings on us - life that we receive from our mother’s womb - joy, goodness and peace from You.

Grant that I may be ever grateful to You for being such a great and generous God and may I always use these blessings for the purpose You gave them to us.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "wondrous"; praiseworthy, awesome; in prayer thank God for the blessings He has bestowed on us and for the grace to use them in accordance with His will.

Tomorrow's reading: Rv 10.8-11
