11.23.12

Lectio: Rv 11.4-12
Meditatio: "But after three and a half days, a breath of life from God entered them. When they stood on their feet, great fear fell on those who saw them." Rev 11.11

Oratio: "O God, You protect Your witnesses from eternal death.

I remember John declared Your two great witnesses received Your breath of life after they were slain and then they were taken up to heaven - how wonderful for them! How gracious and kind of You!

Grant that I may be always in reverential awe fo Your Son’s resurrection and rejoice in the fact that You have decreed a glorious ending for us as well.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "breath of life"; God’s power alone; in prayer ask for the grace to be always grateful for the promise of resurrected life; and for the grace to use this life to best serve the Lord.

Tomorrow's reading: Rv 1.5-8
