11.30.12
Lectio: Rv 22.1-7
Meditatio: "Then the angel showed me the rive of life-giving water sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb." Rv 22.1

Oratio: "O God, You are the source of our being.

I remember Your Evangelist, John, had a vision of the ‘life-giving water’ that flows from You and sustains us.
Grant that I may always drink of these waters for they will sustain me not only in this life but throughout eternity.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "life-giving water"; a symbol for God’s graces; source of our life and our hopes and our destiny; in prayer thank the Lord for His graciousness and kindness and the gift of eternal life; in prayer drink deeply of God’s graces and use them to love and serve Him in this life for that is why we were born and that is why we live and have our being.

Tomorrow's reading: Jer 33.14-16
