Lectio - Mt 17.22-27
Meditatio: “But that we may not give offend them, go to the sea, drop a hook, and take the first fish that comes up. Open its mouth and you will find a coin worth twice the temple tax. Give it to them for me and for you.” Mt 17.27
Oratio: "O God, You are beyond our comprehension but You revealed enough of Yourself so that we would not be afraid to approach You.
I remember Jesus showed in the issue of paying the Temple tax that You are gentle and sensitive and not heavy-handed.
Grant that I may never be afraid to approach You and always rejoice in the fact that You have drawn near and You want a relationship with us.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will reflect on how I image God and correct any aspect of that image that is inconsistent with a God of Love so that I may better relate to God who wants me to be in a personal relationship with Him.
