Lectio - Mt 19.23-30

Meditatio: “When the disciples heard this, they were astonished, and said, ‘Who then can be saved’?” Mt 19.25

Oratio: "O God, eternal life is Your gift to us, we do not earn it, but You do require that we be open to receiving this gift.

I remember Jesus warned of the danger of riches as an obstacle to eternal life because we can become too attached to them and focus on them rather than on You the source of all riches.

Grant that I may be ever grateful for Your gift of the kingdom and do what You wish on this earth as my way of saying ‘Thank You’ for it.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on my possessions and resolve to use my time, talent and treasure for the greater honor and glory of God..

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 20.1-16
