Lectio - Lk 13.22-30
Meditatio: “After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door, then you will stand outside knocking and saying, ‘Lord, open the door for us.’ He will say in reply, ‘ I do not know where you are from’.” Lk 13.22-30
Oratio: "O God, You want all to know You, love You and to be with You for all eternity.
I remember Jesus warned the chosen people they will hear the chilling words, ‘I do not know you’ and His Father will not open the doors of the kingdom for them since they did not respond to His invitation to live as His chosen people.
Grant that I may imitate Jesus who came to serve and not to be served and achieve the greatness You want for me.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will reflect on whether I presume that since I am God’s child through baptism, that I am automatically saved? If so, resolve to accept God’s invitation by living rightly as His child.
