Lectio - Mt 24.42-51

Meditatio: “Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.” Mt 24.42

Oratio: "O God, You want us but we must want You, too.

I remember Jesus warned us to stay awake for we do not know when You will come for us.

Grant that I will be vigilant not only for You but for the things You want of me.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on how much I want God and how attentive I am to what He wants and then love Him and others with my whole heart.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 25.1-13

Lectio - Mt 25.1-13

Meditatio: “While they went off to buy it, the bridegroom came and those who were ready went into the wedding feast with him. Then the door was locked.” Mt 15.10

Oratio: "O God, You want us to be ready to meet You when our lives are over.

I remember Jesus told a parable about ten bridesmaid and how five foolish ones were not adequately prepared to meet the bridegroom and they missed out on attending the wedding feast.

Grant that I may use the time You give me to respond to Your ways.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on how I am using my time and the capacity to love God and others as I should; or am I too self-centered. If the latter, seek the Holy Spirit’s help to be a source of gladness for God and others.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 25.14-30
