Lectio - Lk 4.31-37

Meditatio: “They were amazed and said to one another, ‘What is this about his word/ For with authority he commands the unclean spirits and they come out’.” Lk 4.36

Oratio: "O God, Your word from the beginning and throughout the ages is all-powerful for when You spoke, the world came into being.

I remember Jesus said ‘Come out!’ and the demon left the man whom he possessed.

Grant that I may always have confidence in Your words that are found in sacred sripture.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on my trust in the Word of God that has been proclaimed. If I am tentative about any of them, ask for God’ grace to pray, “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.” and that exercise will help me to to trust fully for that remedy is also found in sacred scripture..

Tomorrow’s reading - Lk 4.38-44
