Lectio - Lk 4.16-30
Meditatio: “He said to them, ‘Today, this scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing’.” Lk 4.21
Oratio: "O God, we are so obstinate at times; yet You are so patient with us.
I remember when Jesus proclaimed to the Nazarenes that He was the good news announced by the Prophet Isaiah, they wanted to kill Him as a blasphemer instead of rejoicing in the good news that was at hand by Your grace.
Grant that I may always have an open mind and heart to the good news of Scripture for it Your word..
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will examine my attitudes especially where I am strong-willed to see if these areas are preventing me from being open to the Good News. If so, with God’s grace, resolve to change such attitudes.
