Lectio - Lk 1.39-56
Meditatio: “Mary remained with her [cousin, Elizabeth] about three months and then returned to her home.” Lk 1.56
Oratio: "O God, loving concern is the essence of who You are.
I remember Mary showed this for her cousin Elizabeth, helping her for three months during her difficult, old-age, pregnancy; and then at the end of Mary’s life You assumed her body with her soul into Your kingdom, her home forever.
Grant that I may imitate Mary and say ‘Yes’ to Your will in all things.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will examine my daily routine and see if it reflects my doing it with loving concern for others; if not, with God’s grace, change so that it will.
