Lectio - Jn 12.24-26

Meditatio: “Whoever serves me, must follow me; and where I am there also my servants will be. The Father will honor whoever serves me.” Jn 12.26

Oratio: "O God, how benevolent You are for so little effort on our part!

I remember Jesus said that whoever served Him, You will honor. For doing what we ought, You gift us!

Grant that I may always do Your will not for honors but for love of You.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will examine my motives for my actions and purify those that do not involve my following Jesus more nearly, following more dearly, day by day.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 18.15-20
