Lectio - Mt 22.1-14

Meditatio: “He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it that you come in here without a wedding garment?’ But he was reduced to silence.” Mt 22. 12

Oratio: "O God, You have invited all to Your heavenly wedding kingdom as our glorious home -how generous of You!

I remember Jesus told the people that all are invited but one must change and repent to be admitted to the kingdom.

Grant that I may be ever grateful for the generous ways in which You deal with us.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will examine my life to see if there is one or more areas where God is calling me to change. If so, with his grace to change.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 22.34-40

Lectio - Mt 22.34-40

Meditatio: “The second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Mt 22. 39

Oratio: "O God, You made it simple and so clear to follow Your commandments.

I remember Jesus summed up the whole law and the prophets in one word - “love” -n You first, others second.

Grant that I may be always guided by “love” in all that I do so that I may be the child You want me to be.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on my relationships - Do I seek their good for their sake or for what I get out of it? If the latter, take steps to purify my motives so that “Love” is my primary and guiding principle.

Tomorrow’s reading - Mt 23. 1-12
