Lectio - Mt 23.13-22

Meditatio: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites, ‘You lock the kingdom of heaven before men. Yo do not enter yourselves nor do you allow entrance to those trying to enter’.” Mt 23.13

Oratio: "O God, You want us to be prudent in determining whom we will follow.

I remember Jesus warned the chosen people not to follow the scribes and the Pharisees, who where the official teachers of their day, because they were hypocrites and blind guides.

Grant that I may with confidence follow the Pope and the bishops in union with him for to these Jesus has given the teaching authority and the keys to the kingdom.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on the gift of the magisterium and offer a prayer in thanksgiving for such a blessing.
