Lectio - Mt 19.13-15
Meditatio: “but Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me , and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these’.” Mt 19.14
Oratio: "O God, all are precious in Your eyes.
I remember Jesus made this clear when he allowed children to come and to be prayed over - a marvelous gesture in a time and place where children had no rights.
Grant that I may imitate Jesus and never stand aloof from anyone, no matter their standing in society.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will reflect - Do I consider myself superior to anyone? If so, begin to work on changing this attitude knowing all are God’s children and all are equally and lovable in God’s sight.
Tomorrow’s reading - Lk 1.39-56
