Lectio - Mt 23.27-32
Meditatio: “Even so, on the outside you [Pharisees and Scribes] appear righteous, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evil doing.” Mt 23.28
Oratio: "O God, You want our entire being to be in right relationship with You.
I remember Jesus warned the Scribes and Pharisees that simply appearing to be good is no good in Your eyes.
Grant that I may be a person of integrity so that what people see is what I truly am before You.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will reflect to see whether there are external aspects of me that do not reflect my interior dispostion and work on changing either externally or internally so that I will in fact be righteous in God’s eyes.
