Lectio - Mt 23.1-12

Meditatio: “The greatest among you must be your servant.” Mt 23.11

Oratio: "O God, You want all of us to aspire to greatness and You have made it so simple.

I remember Jesus proclaimed that the greatest is the servant - how contrary to human thinking!

Grant that I may imitate Jesus who came to serve and not to be served and achieve the greatness You want for me.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will examine my life style to see if I am a true servant of others or do I also wish to be served? If the latter, resolve to work on purifying my role as servant for that is Christ’s way.

Tomorrow’s reading - Lk 13.22-30
