Lectio - Lk 14.1, 7-14

Meditatio: “Blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.” Lk 14.14

Oratio: "O God, our culture’s ways are often not Your way.

I remember Jesus taught that we should invite to dinner the poor, the cripple, the lame, the blind because they could not return the invite - how different from our love of social networking.

Grant that I may always act in ways that are pleasing to You and not simply pleasing to those around me.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will examine my life style to see to what extent I have bought into the ways of the times which are not God’s ways. To the extent I have, begin to purge them by asking WWJD and then do it until it becomes a good habit.

Tomorrow’s reading - Lk 4.16-30
