9.16.15

9.16.15

Lectio Lk 7.31-35

Meditatio: "Then to what shall I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? Lk 7.30

Oratio: O God, Your Son was at times frustrated with the people to whom He was ministering. They were at times fickle, obstinate and only wanted to hear what they wanted to hear. He compared them to children playing in the market place. Pray for a quiet and open disposition to the Word of the Lord for only then will its full benefits be realized by us.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with.  You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is
 saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “compare....people....What...like”; The people who heard Jesus first hand and walked and talked with Him, should have received Him with the deference and honor He deserved; but they did not. Seek the grace to be as a little child and be totally open to the Word of the Lord who is given to us for our greatest good.

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 7.36-50
