9.23.15

Lectio: Lk 9.7-9

Meditatio: “Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, 'John has been raised from the dead'.' Lk 9.7

Oratio: O God, Your Son and His disciples did marvelous things so that people would come to believe. Some, however, like Herod, remained skeptical. Why? Perhaps because he like the religious leaders had harden his heart to the obvious for He was not whom they wanted as the Messiah. Pray that you never put conditions on how the Lord may impact on your life.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God speaks to you,

Operation: reflect, "Herod..,perplexed.."; Herod had all the advantage of knowing what Jesus was doing, but remained perplexed instead of accepting the obvious. Seek the grace to be open to the many ways God reveals Himself for He does for our great and lasting good.

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 9.18-22
