Lectio Mk 7.31-37

Meditatio: "Then he looked to heaven and groaned, ‘Ephphatha !’ (that is, ‘Be opened!’) And immediately the man’s ears were opened and his speech impediment removed, and he spoke plainly.” Mk 7.34-35

Oratio: O God, what power Your Son exercised - with a touch, a prayer and a command deafness and a speech impediment were cured! And He continues to open us to Your saving ways. Pray that I may respond to His ultimate wish that we all come to enjoy the greatest miracle, resurrected life.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “looked...heaven...groaned ...Ephphatha!”Jesus touched, prayed, and commanded and the healing of a deaf man was accomplished. Seek the grace to be open to the Word of the Lord for in it is all grace and ultimate happiness.
