9.28.15

Lectio: Jn 1/47-51                          
                
Meditatio: “And he said to him, ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see the sky opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man’.” Jn 1.51

Oratio: O God, Your Son also revealed the existence of angels and thy are all part of God’s creation and meant for our good .  Pray to the angels especially Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, whose memorial we celebrate today for they revealed much about God’s transcendence and power and His love for us.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio: reflect, "angels...ascending...descending”; Jesus predicted that angels would ascend and descend upon Him and they did and they do on us as well.. Seek the grace to be God’s strength (Gabriel), God’s remedy (Raphael) for those whose lives we touch so that one day we will be like God (Michael) in heaven.
