9.13.15

Lectio  Jn 3.13-17                               

Meditatio: "And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” Jn 3.14-15                                    

Oratio: O God, what love Your Son showed for us! I remember He was crucified for us so that we might have eternal life. Pray for a strong and lasting faith in Him for He is the way, the truth and the life for us and without Him, we perish which is not we want nor does He want.           

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with.  You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
 
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is
 saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “lifted up.....Son of Man...believe...life”; Jesus predicted His crucifixion but He also predicted His death would gift us with  lasting life for all who believe in Him. Seek the grace to always believe in Him and show that belief by living in accordance with His commandments; and they are not burdensome for His grace is His gift to us and it is sufficient for us.
