Lectio:  Lk 9.43b-45
                
Meditatio: “Pay attention to what I am telling you. The Son of Man is to be handed over to men.” Lk 9.44
Oratio: O God, Your Son foretold of His impending death but His disciples were oblivious to His warning, Why? Perhaps this did not fit in with their expectations Pray that I may be always open to the will of God for therein lies my fulfillment.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio: reflect, "Son of Man...handed...over”; Jesus predicted His arrest and death but His followers did not understand His plain words. Why? Perhaps it did not fit in with their plans and they only wanted to believe in an earthly kingdom of greatness and joy. Seek the grace to  listen attentively to the good and the bad news for it is in hearing it all that we begin to understand and in understanding we come to know what we ought to do and then to do it.
