Lectio Lk 6.1-5

Meditatio: "Some Pharisees said ‘Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath’.?” Lk 6.2
Oratio: O God, when the religious leaders challenged Jesus’ about th c conduct of His disciples for eating grain by picking it and rubbing it together, Jesus made it clear that such rules were not the purpose of the Sabbath. Pray to keep holy the sabbath by using it as time to refresh your body and soul in ways that Jesus wants,

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: Pharisees....doing...unlawful...Sabbath"; Jesus allowed His disciples to satisfy their hunger by picking grain on the Sabbath and responded to the Pharisees criticism by making it clear that such man made rules do not govern the Sabbath. Seek the grace to keep holy the Sabbath in the spirit the command was given with love being the guiding principle.

Tomorrow's reading:Mk 7.31-37
