9.29.15

Lectio:  Lk 9.57-62

Meditatio: “As they were proceeding on their journey someone said to him, “ I will follow you wherever you go’.” Lk  9.57

Oratio: O God, Your Son made it very clear the demands of discipleship when someone said he would follow Him. He told the would be follower that He had no place to lay His head, and no time to waste by saying good-bye to family or to bury the dead. Pray that without complaining I may fulfill the demands of discipleship for that is how best serve the Lord.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God speaks to you,

Operatio: reflect, "follow...wherever”; Jesus made it clear that to follow Him means total dedication to spreading the Good News, with creature comforts not part of it. Seek the grace to serve the Lord faithfully in all endeavors for that is the least we can do for Hm who has done so much for us..

Tomorrow's reading: Lk10.1-12
