9.20.15

Lectio  Mt 9.9-13

Meditatio: "As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man n named Matthew sitting at the custom post. He said to him, ‘Follow me.’ And he got up and followed him.” Mt 9.9

Oratio: O God, among the  Twelve Your Son called by name to follow Him, was Matthew, whose feast day we celebrate tomorrow. Matthew was an unlikely choice as the people of his day considered him a collaborator with the Romans and despised all tax collector. Pray to see others not by labels people put on them but for who they are - God’s children and companions on the journey.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with.  You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is  saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “Matthew...Follow me”; the invite is simple that Jesus gives to all - Follow me.. But the acceptance defines who we are and how we live and what we become. Seek the grace to follow Jesus wherever He leads and you will not be disappointed.

Tomorrow's reading:Lk 8.19-21
