Lectio: Mt 14.22-33

“Those who were in the boat did him [Jesus’ homage, saying, ‘Truly, you are the Son of God’.” Mt 14.33

“ O God, Your Son fed 5000 with 2 fish and 5 loaves and early the next morning He walked on the sea and invited Peter to do the same and he did - Wow!

I remember it took both of these marvelous and extraordinary events and back to back before His disciples proclaimed Him as Your Son.

Grant that I may be alert to You at work and readily attribute to You what is obviously beyond human capability so that my faith may be nourished.

I ask this of You who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.

Operatio: Reflect on the marvelous ways God is present today - the air we breath, the water we drink, the love we share. In prayer give God credit for them and thank God for these blessings that are so important for our life in the here and the now and so important for our faith life which will sustain us in the next life.

Tomorrow’s readings: Mt 17.22-27
