12.02.14

Lectio: Mt 15.29-37

Meditatio: "The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the deformed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind able to see, and they glorified the God of Israel.” Mt 15.31

Oratio: O God, what wonders Your Son did so that belief would be instilled in His listeners.

I remember Jesus worked many and different types of miracles and the people glorified God and he concluded by feeding 4000 with seven loaves and a few fish. Sadly, the religious leaders did not take His miracles at their face value but would ascribe His powers to the Evil One. In prayer seek to be opened to the workings of God in one’s life for He continues to let His light shine upon us and He continues to watch over us and sustains us to our benefit and for the benefit of our immortal souls.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "amazed...mute...blind.....glorified ...God”; Jesus performed many and varied miracles and the people rightly glorified God. Sadly,  not the religious leaders. Seek the grace to be alert to the workings of God in one’s life for He is there and watches over us with loving care and we are richly blest and should give thanks and glory to God for being there for us..

Tomorrow's reading:Mt 7.21,24-27
