12.26.14

 Lectio:  Jn 20.2-8

Meditatio: "Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed.”Jn 20.8

Oratio: O God, You know that the eyes of faith can see so much more of what is really important.
I remember John the beloved disciple, entered the empty tomb after Peter and saw the burial cloths all rolled  in a separate place and he believed that Your Son had risen. And so He had to our great joy and gain! In prayer seek an active faith so that things which really matter will not escape our notice and we will be greatly enriched by such insight.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
 God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"went in....saw...believed”; seeing is believing but seeing with the eyes of faith gives rise to seeing so much more. Seek the grace to see all things in the light of faith and you will never be disappointed.
