Lectio: Mt 7.21, 24-27

Meditatio: "everyone who listens to my words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on a rock." Mt 7.24

Oratio: O God, Your words are eternal life.

I remember Your Son told us that if we act on His words, we will have a strong foundation that will with stand the trials of this life and enable us to follow Him into the kingdom. In prayer may I listen attentively to Jesus' words and act on them for His words are eternal life if put into practice.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "listens...acts...wise"; the foundation for our life is so important and it must be strong enough to bring us to the kingdom. Seek the grace of listening and acting for those are the dynamics that can lead to right living - a vocation that is the call of all.
